The Centre national de la musique (CNM) presents the results of its global observation system of musical diversity for the year 2023. This study offers an in-depth analysis of music production, including phonographic recordings and video clips, broadcast on radio, television, and consumption on audio and video streaming. Through a set of indicators, it provides an overview of the different musical aesthetics, the representativeness of women-men, the language sung (with a particular focus on the part of the Francophonie) and the repetition of titles, observing the share of novelties.
